Planet, a space company located in San Francisco has created the largest art show in Earth's orbit. The company accepts art submissions from people around the world to be etched onto the side panels of their dove satellites. I had sent them my artwork and it was a dream come true that they accepted it and etched it onto their satellite as pictured below!

McMaster Unspoken is a poetry initiative on the McMaster campus. The club publishes an annual poetry anthology using the poem's submitted by McMaster students. In my first year of university, I was a part of the team as the graphics executive. I had the pleasure of creating the artwork for the poetry submissions we received that were included in the second annual anthology.

The Hamilton Youth Poets (HYP) is a platform for young people to develop creative skills and have their voices heard. The organization hosts monthly poetry slams, which are spoken word competitions in which anyone can participate in regardless of experience level. There is also an annual HYP Team and HYP Youth Team that participates in competitions across the country. I had started with HYP as a volunteer and performer at monthly slams. Within my first year of starting spoken word, I competed and won a place on the HYP Youth team. During my time on the team I participated in writing workshops with poetry coaches, performed in poetry competitions in different cities and wrote several new poems along the way. The Youth Team and I competed in a National poetry competition called Voices of Today in August of 2017. I created a 'team piece', which was a poem with multiple parts to be performed by the team and I during the preliminary rounds of the competition. I also had the opportunity to perform my solo slam poem during the finals. Due to the hard work and dedication from the team, we placed first overall at the competition!
